-Patrick- might have lived in Wales, captured from home as a teenager and taken to Ireland where he was put to work looking after the sheep. Began thinking of God, heard voices, managed to go home. He came back to Ireland in 432, lit a holy fire on the Hill of Slane and started converting people into Christianity; he is believed to have banished snakes from Ireland; using the shamrock to demonstrate the doctrine of the Trinity. He is believed to have died on the 17th March.
-Leopold Bloom- a character from James Joyce’s Ulysses. It’s the epic of Dublin life and the action takes place in the course of one day - the 16th of June.
