Narrator 1

Let’s sit here round , just here not far
The Wawel’s hill, around small town
At the top of a mountain there’s a castle
Under the castle there’s a deep cave
In the deep cave – the dragon lives.

Narrator 2

Long, long time ago
The dragon came to Cracow
Under the Wawel, next to the river
He found his home.
Every morning for his breakfast
He ate a bag of peas and a lamb
Then he sharpened his teeth with a stone
And go to sleep in his cave.
Around the castle brave people lived
But their happiness ended
When dragon came to live with them.

Narrator 1

Many knights tried to kill the dragon
Unfortunately none of them managed to do it.
Everywhere people cried

Woman 1

Who will save us ? who will help us?

Man 1

The dragon blows the fire and chases everyone

Narrator 1

There lived a boy as brave as a lion
People ask him:

Man 2

Save us Krak!

Man 3

You’re very clever,
You’re very brave,
Your legs are fast
And body strong
If you don’t save us we’ll cry a lot.

Krak

I’m a young shoemaker
I live under the castle
I make shoes for people
For every single day
I’m not afraid of anything
I’m not lazy
Everybody love me
As boys as the girls

Narrator

Krak thought at night and in the morning
And he found a solution.

Krak

Kill the lamb!
Don’t cry people!
There’s a solution
Give me the lamb
And the bag of sulphur

Narrator

He killed the lamb, filled it with the sulphur
And put it in front of dragon’s cave
The dragon came off his cave , looked around and noticed the lamb
He ate his fast

Man

Look at the dragon!
He ate a lot
Sulphur is poisonous
He’ waiving his tail
Running to the river and drinking the water
He’s drinking and drinking

People

Bung!
There’ no dragon
The dragon’s dead
He won’t drink water any more

Hurray Krak!

Krak became a king, brave boy
He saved his people , Cracow Build
That’s all the Wawel’s story.

Narrator

If you want to see the dragon’s cave
Come to the Wawel’s Castle
Next to the river in the sunshine
You’ll hear ...
