Warm-up:
Ask students: Do you often go to the doctor?
Write on the board: a bad knee, sunstroke, a cold, a temperature, a stomach ache. Ask: Which of these things would you see a doctor about?
1. Explain to students that a teenager called Thomas is at the doctor’s with his mother. Tell them that they are going to hear their conversation.
Read the three sentences together. Play the recording, students listen and choose the
correct sentences.

2. Ask students to read the sentences. Play the cassette again. Students listen and decide which sentences they do not hear.
