Type of activity: mingling activity, communicaton and language skills
Time: 10-15 minutes
Preparation:
1. Prepare cards displaying pictures of children (people) with printed data below the pictures ( see below). There are pairs of identical cards.
Procedure:
1. Introduce the topic and the aim of the activity. The children are supposed to find their twin brother or a sister ( a person with the same card). Tell students to ask all the question until all the information is provided and goal achieved. They can’t see other cards.
2. Distribute cards. (one per each student).
3. Start the activity. Go around and assist children, if necessary, in asking questions correctly ( for example: What’s your favourite food/ star/ colour/ number? Where are you from? Are you from Australia? Is your favourite number 3? )
4. When all the twins have been found, each pair sit at the table together with their identical cards.
5. Give feedback to students, talk about possible errors they have made ( if they occurred) and ask how they liked the activity.
