LESSON PLAN
Topic: My food diary
Level: beginners
Aims: By the end of the lesson pupils will have been able to:
• ask and answer questions about what other people like
• understand and use vocabulary connected with food (12 items)
Objectives:
• to introduce vocabulary connected with food
• to revise: ‘I like …’ and ‘Do you like …?’, ‘Yes, I do.’, ‘No, I don’t.’
• to listen and choose proper answers
• to introduce ‘Does s/he like …?’, ‘Yes, s/he does.’, ‘No, s/he doesn’t.’
• to say the days of the week
• to react by standing up in the right moment while listening to days of the week
• to talk about sb’s diary
• to make ‘My food diary’ and describe it
• to do the crossword (homework)
Anticipated problems: Ss may have problems with delivering the proper answers: ‘Yes, I do.’, ‘No, I don’t’, ‘Yes, he/she does.’, etc.
Solutions: T. pins the signs on the board.
Assumptions: I assume pupils know numbers (1 – 12), days of the week, some words connected with food (pizza, soup, rice), the questions: ‘Do you like …?’ and the short answers (‘Yes, I do.’, ‘No, I don’t’).
